Inspiring the next generation of explorers, the ASMDA Space Camp Scholarship Program provides students ages 9–11 with a life-changing opportunity to attend Space Camp at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.

The ASMDA Space Camp Scholarship Program provides an incredible opportunity for young students to attend a one-week Space Camp at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Each year, ASMDA awards 16 full scholarships to children ages 9–11 whose parents are affiliated with ASMDA-supported organizations or corporate members.
This all-expenses-paid program helps inspire the next generation of leaders in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
During the camp, ASMDA hosts a special Appreciation Luncheon to celebrate the scholarship recipients. This luncheon provides students the opportunity to connect with leaders in the aerospace and defense community.
What the Scholarship Includes
Selected students receive a comprehensive scholarship package that includes:
✔️ Tuition for a one-week Space Camp session
✔️ Travel arrangements coordinated through the U.S. Space & Rocket Center
✔️ An official Space Camp flight suit
✔️ Additional program items and materials
For students traveling internationally or from remote locations (such as Kwajalein or Alaska), ASMDA also provides:
✔️ Travel funding for chaperones
✔️ Hotel accommodations during the camp
✔️ Rental car support
✔️ Additional travel assistance as needed
For students traveling within the U.S., ASMDA covers unaccompanied minor airline fees when applicable.

The scholarship is open to children who:
✔️ Are 9–11 years old
✔️ Have a parent affiliated with an ASMDA-supported organization or corporate member
✔️ Demonstrate an interest in science, space, and STEM fields
✔️ Maintain strong academic performance
✔️ Submit a completed application and essay
Students from multiple regions are encouraged to apply, including:

✔️ Colorado Springs, Colorado
✔️ Kwajalein Atoll
✔️ Alaska
Scholarship applications open and are announced through Public Affairs Offices and the ASMDA website.

The ASMDA Space Camp Scholarship Committee reviews applications and selects recipients.
Scholarship winners are notified and receive official certificates. Travel arrangements are coordinated through the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. Applicants who are not selected will also be notified and receive a small space-themed memento recognizing their effort.
Student Sponsorship — $500
Sponsors receive:
✔️ Company logo displayed on program marketing materials
✔️ A seat at the Appreciation Luncheon beside their sponsored camper
Appreciation Luncheon Sponsor — $1,500
The luncheon sponsor receives:
✔️ Company logo displayed at the event entrance and on marketing materials
✔️ Formal recognition during the luncheon remarks
✔️ Two reserved seats at the head table
