SERVICE EXCELLENCE AWARD Contrator

The ASMDA Performance Awards Committee oversees the annual Technical and Service Awards, evaluating nominations from government and contractor personnel supporting space and missile defense missions. The committee also manages the ASMDA Distinguished Service Award, recognizing members who have made significant long-term contributions to the Association.

Each committee member independently reviews and ranks nominations. Scores are averaged, and selections are based on the lowest aggregate rankings. The committee determines the total number of awards presented in each category.

The committee also administers the ASMDA Distinguished Service Award, presented to members who have demonstrated significant and sustained contributions to the Association.

  • Nominees must have at least 10 years of combined service to ASMDA as a committee member, lead, officer, or ex officio member.

  • A waiver of the 10-year requirement may be granted by majority vote of the Board of Directors.

  • Any Board member may submit a nomination.

Nominations must include:

  • Specific details of the nominee’s contributions
  • Length and roles of service
  • Waiver request and justification (if applicable)
