The ASMDA Adventures in Engineering Committee coordinates the annual Adventures in Engineering Day in partnership with Junior Achievement of Northern Alabama, Auburn University, The University of Alabama in Huntsville, and Calhoun Community College.

This STEM-focused program introduces high school juniors and seniors from across the Tennessee Valley to careers in science, technology, engineering, and math. Students visit organizations on Redstone Arsenal, meet engineers and professionals, and participate in hands-on demonstrations to experience real-world engineering in action.

Participating organizations typically include NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center, U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, Missile Defense Agency, Lockheed Martin, and others.

The event begins and ends at UAH, where students attend speaker sessions, exhibits, and university overviews. Registration is coordinated through school counselors and is required in early September. Participation is limited based on transportation availability.

As part of the ASMDA sponsorship process, a $1,000 event sponsor is secured. Sponsors receive logo placement on marketing materials, event t-shirts, and bus transportation signage.
